STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS

Let the games begin! Please see the below call to arms from Ken Low, a long-standing member that I ran into at the Club today.

Ladies and gentlemen, members of the Club,

We have been booted out of our Club!! Stand up for your rights.

Following last night's meeting, we must get together and act fast. Otherwise we will lose our privileges to the luxury inside of the present building i.e. the gym, Gents Rest & Relax Room, Reading Room, Billiard bar, lounges, conference rooms...everything. In other words, they have pulled the rugs from under our feet! We will be pushed to a corner and put into a small specially-built, characterless "Glass Club House". There will not be the vast space like what we have been enjoying since, and we joined the Club because it has ambiance, amicable facilities, comfort, space, natural surroundings, peace and quiet etc etc. All these will be gone, disappear on 31 October, 2008. It is not nostalgia I mean but what will be taken from all of us. We must therefore act quickly, build a platform together and have a dialogue with Mr Oh and the owners of the Club.

Secondly, given no time at all, we must band together our views and get answers to all our members questions of the future of our Club Membership, Constitution, bye-laws etc. through a holistic dialogue with Mr Oh. He is a open-minded person and will listen to us since we have supported his Club. We hope you will sign a Petition and present it to him within the next few days. We will air it, not grievances, to the Press because we want action! We want him to give us back our Club, if not all, at least the exclusive use of some of what we are used to.

Please give us your feedback, blog and talk to every member about it. Act fast, there is still time to have another members' meeting.
